Each session has its own director and teaching staff whose primary focus is the spiritual development of every camper. Teachers come from varied backgrounds but are all active members of the Church of Christ, qualified to teach both in classes and leading sessions. All camp personnel must pass a background check and complete training in safety and abuse prevention before working at camp.
While there is no permanent nurse on staff, every Tallgrass-led camp session has a nurse available to assist with any needs. For outside groups, gatherings, or other activities, a nurse will not be provided — we recommend each group designate appropriate safety support.
